An Oklahoma native and graduate of OCU in Oklahoma City with a BA in Communications and Public Relations. Shelly garnered direct sales and training experience from The Southwestern and Thomas Nelson Publishing Companies in Nashville, TN. Bitten by the entrepreneurial bug, she moved to Houston, Texas, in the early 90s and co-founded an executive search firm specializing in the placement of key sales and general management professionals, where she was directly involved in every aspect of the sourcing and placement process for clients nationwide. The consultancy quickly grew to include the placement of C-Suite professionals for numerous clients with a significant focus on litigation support and ancillary services. With her driving focus on strategy and consistently evolving to meet their client’s needs, the firm created customized sales training "boot camps" for small business clients selling litigation support services, along with business facilitator services for clients who wanted to sell their business unit(s) within their industry. For over 16 years, the keys to their success were rooted in providing principled solutions and value to each unique client. The consultancy eventually had business interests in Houston, Chicago, New York, and Washington, DC. After the death of her first husband, Shelly turned her focus to her young daughter. She then focused on business & property management, administration, and philanthropic interests.
